Plank-a-palooza!
Taipei Tower | Students of Regina Leffers, director of the Center for the Built Environment, won the grand prize of Best Engineering and Design in the Early Childhood Alliance benefit "Plank-a-palooza" on April 17. Their competitors included architectural firms and other universities. The challenge was to build a structure in 30 minutes using 500 blocks but no other other materials. And of course, their entry was "green."
The winning entry has been reconstructed in a display case on the second floor of the Engineering building.
