Employees Rate IPFW Best in Class
Neff Hall | IPFW's administrators and human resources office wanted to know how its employees felt about working at IPFW, so an independent consulting firm, HR Solutions, was brought in to administer the confidential UMatter@IPFW Employee survey. HR Solutions awarded IPFW its Best in Class Employer...Recommended by Employees citation. Among the results, 84 percent of survey participants rated their overall job satisfaction as favorable.

Interns for Indiana Program Seeks End to "Brain Drain" The Interns for Indiana program wants to lessen "brain drain" by keeping Hoosier college graduates in Indiana. One approach is to place high-quality student interns with start-up companies, which helps accelerate company growth and provides students with valuable educational experiences. The Office of Academic Internships, Cooperative Education, and Service Learning (OACS) is overseeing the program at IPFW, which is funded by the Lilly Endowment.

IPFW Students and Staff Recognized for Outstanding Achievements The annual Student Achievement Celebration organized by Student Life took place Wednesday, April 7. Awards were presented for Outstanding Leadership in Student Organizations and to those who were named to Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Over 90 students were named to the latter, and the following persons and organizations were honored with Student Organization Leadership Awards:

- Commitment to Diversity Award - Spiritual and Pagan Student Alliance
- Award for Service to Students - Judy Tillapaugh
- Student Leader of the Year - Alexandra Okihiro

- Student Organization Member of the Year - Holly Barnett of Circle K
- Student Organization Officer of the Year - Kara Ritchhart of Sociology Student Association and Jason Bender of Phi Theta Kappa
