| Greetings!
Spring is here - the flowers are blooming and the trees are filling out. It is great to see so much fresh color again! Spring is a great time for renewal and fresh starts. We are having a colder spell right now, and it has been a glorious spring. The plants need water to sustain them for the summer, so I hope we get a little more rain (my landscaping background coming through). I always feel refreshed this time of year. And it is time to refresh yourself and your home.
In NYC I found scarves, hats, handbags, headbands, jewelry.... so many accessories! I have orders coming in now through September so keep an eye out for the latest items! I have a hard time not bringing dozens of new items in the store each month. I think I have an 'thing' for all the cool, new and colorful products, and I want them all @ Urban Essentialz.
Right now we are having a sale (through Sunday), hats and handbags are 20% off, Stemware is 40% off.
We look forward to your next visit!
Namaste

| Removing Silver tarnish - w/o harsh chemicals | |
TIP: Removing Silver Tarnish from one of our vendors - Ann Lewis!
Gather: Glass or plastic container, Aluminum foil (heavy duty) , Washing soda (or baking soda) & Hot Water
- Line the bottom and sides of the container with the aluminum foil.
- Place a small heap of the soda on the foil (if you are using a glass cake baking dish, start with 1/3 cup washing soda - a little more if you use Baking Soda)
- Add the hot water. Stir to dissolve the soda.
- Place the jewelry items in the solution on the foil. They MUST contact the foil. You should see some slight bubbly action and perhaps a slight sulfur odor. If not, then add a little more soda.
- The cleaning process should only take a few seconds. When clean, remove and rinse. If needed, polish with a soft jewelry cleaning cloth.
Note: The foil will gray and darken with use. Replace as needed. Use caution with soft gemstones like Turquoise & Lapis. Leaving them in too long will dull their finish.
That's it! An easy, less caustic (and expensive) way to clean your jewelry! |
