A note from Jeanette Berkshire:

It is with great sadness that I share the news that Gene Jacoby passed away this afternoon.  Gene had knee surgery early last week and was recovering very nicely.  This afternoon he began to feel ill and was taken by ambulance to Hancock Hospital.  He was conscious and speaking upon arrival but within a short time it appears that his heart failed and nothing could be done to save him.

 Please keep Marlys and the rest of the family in your prayers, that our Lord will comfort them in this time of grief.
