Greetings!
10 Co-ed Spring North

     VDC10 Coed N

Welcoming Pilgrims!  We had a successfull Spring North Co-ed weekend at Lutherhaven.

Success is defined as a new set of pilgrims who walked with Christ and saw him shining through the hands, and feet, and faces of the team.  These new pilgrims met Christ:

Tanda Abel

Jenny Baker

Gina Drey

Julie Dunn

Carey Garwood

Millie Hanshew

Andrejs Kancs

Jennifer Kummer

Cheryl Lewis

Christine Marsee

Josh Tuttle

Kira Tuttle

Community support was disappointing, although we truly appreciate every one who sacrificed their time to come.  From the VDC  community at large, 38 came to serenade and 14 came to closing.

Hugs!

Don't forget to forward this email to others in the community who would like to keep up to date with VDC activities!

1 Thess 5:16-18Tomorrow evening 15 pilgrims will begin their new journey to meet their Savior.

They will have no idea how many people will be there to see them off.  They have no idea how many from the community will sacrifice time to come and sing to them on Saturday.  They have no idea how many people will come to welcome them into the community.  I'd bet that these things won't even cross their minds.  But would't it be neat to have so many people at each of these events that they couldn't help but notice how many people cared for them?  Come on VDC Community... it's time to knock their socks off!

Get your fingers ready and hand-write palanca cards to the pilgrims.  A personal card is a sacrifice of time and effort, and if you remember, is more meaningful than a computer generated message that you only sign.

Lift the pilgrims in team as satan tries to attack them and their families before, during and after the weekend.  We still have openings in the prayer chart and could use your help to fill it.

3rd Annual Girls Night Out!   Ladies, Clear your calendars now!

Girls Night OutThis year we will be staying in Crestwood, KY at Kavanaugh Life Enrichment Center. This is the same location that the KY VDC South weekends are held. We will be staying in the McCoy House. This is an old house (built in 1879) that has 4 large rooms upstairs with bunk beds; a kitchen a "great room" on the main floor.

The cost for the 2 nights will be $25.00 per person plus the cost for food. I do believe that Margie Bregante will organize the food again this year but will downsize from last year; probably a dinner on Friday night and brunch and dinner on Saturday. We should be able to keep this cost around $10.00 per person for food. These costs are based on the 26 people that the McCoy House can accommodate. If we get more there are 2-3 couches that people can sleep on or bring cots.

Friday June 11th 8pm - Sunday June 13th Noon.

Some Web sites (including Inkyv VDC) may not be displayed correctly or work correctly in Windows Internet Explorer 8. This problem does not occur in earlier versions of Internet Explorer, and the affected Web sites continue to be displayed correctly and to work correctly in Windows Internet Explorer 7.

For example, you may experience any of the following symptoms in Internet Explorer 8:
  • Menus, images, or text are in the wrong positions on some Web sites.
  • Some Web site features do not work.
  • You receive script error messages on some Web sites.
  • Internet Explorer stops working or crashes on some Web sites.
Here's the solution so all websites will work for you:
  1. Start Internet Explorer 8.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Compatibility View Settings.

If Compatibility View Settings is not available, the network administrator may have used a Group Policy setting to configure the options for you. Contact your administrator or the help desk.
  3. Click to select the Display all websites in Compatibility View check box, and then click Close.
