FASS-PH Revised Line Definition Guide  
The FDS Line Definition Guide has been updated to reflect the issuance of GASB #54 and to provide additional information, examples, and clarification for specific FDS line definitions.  The Guide is effective for PHAs with Fiscal Year End of June 2008 and later.  This Guide supersedes the FDS Line Definition Guide that was issued November 2008. FASSUB System Upgrade 
There was a new release of FASSUB system in which the following changes were made:
  • Account S3600-015 entitled Opinion was added to the OMB A133 templates. This account will be used to express an opinion on compliance and internal controls for major programs.
  • Account S3600-020 was renamed from Reportable Conditions Indicator to Significant Deficiencies Indicator.  
  • The editing and business rules for accounts 5120 - Rent Revenue, 5300 - Nursing Home Revenue, and 6900 - Nursing Home Expenses were amended to clarify the purpose and rules associated with these accounts.  

These changes are all documented in the appendices of the FASSUB Industry User Guide which is available on the REAC website at http://portal.hud.gov/hudportal/HUD?src=/program_offices/public_indian_housing/reac/products/fass/fassmf_guide

FALL MULTIFAMILY and LENDER UPDATE COURSES

The Multifamily and Lender Update courses will be scheduled shortly.  We are in the process of finalizing contracts with course venues.  As these course dates and locations are determined the information will be posted here.

State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
