Program Highlights
  • REAC Reporting in the New Template - Adoption of Asset Management Reporting - With the 2009 release of the FASPHA template as well as the expected April update, HUD has now entered the period of reporting under the new asset management model.  This reporting process has caused a new series of reporting issues.  Further, with the implementation of the new template, HUD will begin to review the reasonableness of front-line versus COCC expenses.  Also, we will be addressing the reporting of inter and intra fund transfers in the template.
  • Update on Housing Choice Vouchers - Get the latest updates on the Housing Choice Voucher program.  HUD review of non-restricted net asset balances and impacts over leasing will be addressed.
  • Update on Capital Fund and the Implementation and Reporting for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act - Update on the capital fund increases. ARRA fund brings additional reporting requirements under Circular A-133.
  • Auditing Update - HUD is increasing its review of reports issued under A-133 and is planning on implementing a new quality control document and process.  We will also discuss the impacts of the implementation of SAS No. 117.
  • Impacts of Auditing the New EIV Environment - With HUD implementing the Enterprise Income Verification program, PHAs and auditors will be addressing the impacts of implementing EIV. 
  • Changes to other Programs - In addition to the operating fund, HUD continues to issue new guidance on other programs.  Get the latest on these changes.
  • Other Financial Reporting, Auditing and Accounting Issues - Includes updates on the most recent FASB, GASB, AICPA and Government Auditing Standards.
