Exploring the UU Sources

John Monroe

This weekend we will continue our exploration of the six sources of the Unitarian Universalist tradition, with a focus on Jewish and Christian teachings.

This is a tricky topic, because these are traditions that many of us chose to leave - and for some of us the parting was difficult. But these teachings also are too rich a resource for us to ignore, perhaps even helping us to live out our Unitarian Universalist faith more fully. How can we work with them in a way that is meaningful in our UU context?

After the service, visit with your friends, grab some coffee and then come back to the Sanctuary for our second "Summer Polylogue," an opportunity to talk with me and your fellow congregants about your experience with Jewish and Christian teachings.

The Sanctuary isn't the only the place the action is. Our summer Religious Exploration program is off to a roaring start, with more than 80 kids enrolled. The younger children are learning about our partner churches in India and Transylvania, while the teens are exploring the world of physics and astronomy.

Don't miss out - join us this weekend!
