Mission, Vision, and Values

Our mission is to provide compassionate and uplifting transitional care for women in crisis and hungry children in Orange County.

Our vision is to be the Orange County safety net for uniquely challenged and underserved women and children through hope, love, and spiritual healing.

Our values consist of the three main categories:

Love & Compassion: A faith-based approach to healing and forgiveness in a multi-generational community.

Respect & Acceptance: A non-judgmental celebration of the diversity and uniqueness of humankind.

Honesty & Integrity: An ethical approach to supporting personal growth and family values.

GHH with a BANG!

September 23rd, Wells Fargo hosted GHH at the Los Angeles Angels / Oakland Athletics Baseball Game!

After the game --- What a surprise!

Ladies were handed a bag with a blanket including the Angels & Wells Fargo logo.

This was a comfy way to have a "private" viewing on the field to watch the live fireworks show synchronized to Beach Boys music!

One Desk Foundation

Twenty students from the Anaheim City School District partnered with GHH  to help pack and organize over 400 bags of food  for distribution to Motel children and others that benefit from the

 Nana's Kidz program.

" One Desk" Foundation seeks to transform the lives of millions of children in underprivileged communities by focusing on academic excellence and character development.  To learn more about 1DF and what they do, visit their website by clicking here

The twenty 'Homerun Heroes' (as they are now being called)  had to write and submit an essay about giving back to community and were selected out of over 900 applications!

Each child was awarded with three tickets to an Anaheim Angels baseball game for their hard work and dedication to their community. After this hard work, the following heroes had this to say:

Katelynne - "Today I learned to give back to others."

Genesis - "Other kids don't have what we have so we should be grateful."

"Rooted" Hosts a Bible Study &

GHH Ladies Give Back to the Community
           Rooted - Mariners Church

"Rooted"  is a bible-study program hosted by

Mariners Church in Irvine, CA.  They host sessions in Irvine, Mission Viejo, and Huntington Beach.

To learn more about Rooted and Mariners,

visit them online by clicking here.

As a part of the 10 week Bible study many ladies participated and were looking forward to the community outreach and evangelistic outreach.

As their community outreach project,  the ladies at GHH prepared

meals and hygiene kits for the homeless and distributed them in downtown Santa Ana.

Over 100 people were blessed as the women shared their service and their gifts with others in need..

When asked  how the distribution effected Denise, a woman in our program, she stated:

"Extend to each person, no matter how trivial the contact, all care and kindness and understanding and love that you muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again."  Og Mandino (1923-1996) Author

GHH Receives A $20K Grant!

GHH recently received a $20K grant,  from
Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange Healthcare Foundation.
The grant was allotted towards Case Management to benefit the women in
our transitional housing program.

Case Management is just one of the commitments women make within our Transitional Housing program.

Case managers are able to create and sustain professional relationships with each woman while helping her to achieve self-sufficiency.

All women residents also participate in counseling, workforce development and give back through community service in Orange County.

Thank you very much for your support to Grandma's House of Hope. It is through your kindness and generosity that GHH continues to fight hunger and homelessness in Orange County. Your contribution helps enhance the lives of women and children who are struggling to survive in your own communities.

God Bless,

jenet
