Why are gift cards so special?
 GHH ladies love gift cards.
One of the reasons gift cards are such a blessing
to the women and children in our programs is that it offers them the rare
gift of choice - to pick out something special just for them. In many cases our
program participants have been deprived of the right to
make choices for themselves. This is a simple act that goes a long way for self empowerment!
Please consider sending a gift card in any amount to: Grandma's House of Hope
(174 W. Lincoln Ave., Anaheim, CA 92805).

We supply the coin-counting jar, and you grab your loose change and change a child's life with every 'drop in the bucket.'

Featured Intern
Carmen graduated from California State University, Long Beach in May 2010. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice.
"Interning at Grandma's House of Hope was a great experience. The reason I decided to intern at GHH was because I knew my work was going to directly help other people in the community."
Carmen knew that the field of Criminal Justice will be rough but with the encouragement of her family and the inspiration of her daughter, she would overcome the hardships that working in the industry brings. Presently, Carmen is looking forward to going back to Long Beach State to receive her Master's in Criminal Justice while also trying to find a job in the Probation field, which is what she truly aspires to do.

Summer Back Pack Distribution is A Success!
Children receive backpacks at the annual Motel Collaboration Back Pack Event.
GHH donated 150 backpacks stuffed with school supplies to children living in local motels at this August 7th event. An additional distribution is planned for later this summer for children participating in GHH Nana's Kidz Program!
A BIG THANKS to the volunteer families and individuals that donated backpacks, school supplies, and time to help hundreds of local children receive the items needed for the 2010 - 2011 school year. We could not have done it without you!
