Grandma's House of Hope Newsletter
What's Going on at GHH?? May 2010
Thanks to Nana's Kidz Volunteers!

We are very thankful for all the volunteers who have jumped in to package, deliver & pick up Nana's Kidz bags along with all the locations that have worked with us while feeding hungry children in Orange County during this past school year.  We appreciate the time and dedication given by the volunteers that are making a difference by offering nutritional food that GHH provides.

Hats off to:  The Gathering Church, Karla Rodriquez, Athena Mulder, Tami Mangum & family, Kimberly Villalobis-Hutchess, Jenna Triolo, Jennifer & Mario Diaz, Laura Bachman, Katie Brooks and many others.

Together, we can help fight hunger!

This program is in higher demand over the summer months while the students are out of school and are not served a nutritional meal during the daytime hours.  Please keep them in mind and consider helping by donating your time, non-perishable food items or a monetary contribution.

If you are interested in volunteering to deliver food bags please contact  us at:

Dragonfly Spring Fair

Dragonfly Shops & Gardens in Orange,  held a spring boutique to benefit our organization on May 2nd.    The weather was wonderful and many unique and specialty vendors participated.  It was an exciting event that raised approximately $1,500.00 which will benefit all of our programs. A special "Thank you" to Meg Faulkner for organizing this day in our honor.

                 GHH Receives Grant!
Grandma's House of Hope has been honored to receive a grant from the Orangewood Children's Foundation  and the Orange County Capacity Building Program.     This funding and technical assistance award is designed to increase the capacity of the organization to better serve low-income individuals and families in the community.  What for our updates as these funds develop into programs serving those in need in the Orange County area!

Thank you very much for your support to Grandma's House of Hope. It is through your kindness and generosity that GHH continues to fight hunger and homelessness in Orange County. Your contribution helps enhance the lives of women and children who are struggling to survive in your own communities. God Bless.
