Ark River Clean-up this Saturday 9 AM - meet at Parking Lot south of Gander Mountain to pick up trash bags
Wichita has been getting some negative press about the trash that is visible in the River since the flows have been down to due to the drought and to accommodate the Lincoln Street dam construction. On October 8, the City plans to celebrate the Kansas Sesquicentennial and is expecting visitors for that celebration as well as other events including League of Kansas Municipalities conference and the Prairie Fire Marathon. So this Saturday, October 1st, invite your friends and neighbors to help us "Clean up River City!" Wear sturdy shoes and bring gloves. We will provide trash bags!
