Old Town 20th Birthday Bash

Art on Wheels: Explore a variety of 2- and 3-D arts works in Old Town with Ann Resick, artist and owner of Project Gallery.
The party ramps up during the weekend with three FREE "don't miss it!" events:
Friday, Sept. 23:
* Let Us Eat Cake: An all ages cake and ice cream chow down with entertainment by Razz from 4-7 p.m. in the Farm & Art Market Plaza at First Street and Mosley. Mayor Carl Brewer and special guests will cut the cake at 4:30 p.m. Free cake and ice cream for the first 500 people.
* Picnic in the Plaza: Bring a picnic and kick back on Old Town Square Plaza at Second Street and Mead from 7-10 p.m. for live music by Tom Page Trio and Crowson & Hardin. A limited number of box suppers will be available for purchase. Old Town Square will be blocked off, but parking will be available in the parking garage. Alcohol will be available outdoors within the party area, so be sure to bring your ID if you plan to imbibe.
Saturday, Sept. 24:
* Party on the Plaza: Rock out with us from 8-11 p.m. on the Old Town Square Plaza at Second Street and Mead. Enjoy your favorite adult beverage under the stars and dance to Monterrey Jack, Jenny Wood & the Watchers and Scroat Belly. Old Town Square will be blocked off, but parking will be available in the parking garage. Alcohol will be available outdoors within the party area, so be sure to bring your ID if you plan to imbibe.
This high-energy weekend also features the Wagonmasters Old Town Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, Sept. 24 with the public tasting starting at noon (tasting kits are $5) and the Wichita Blues Society Blues Crawl from 4-11 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25.
