"The Guitar Collection" a newly published book, describes a guitar on display at the Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum as the most historically important guitar ever made. This lavish new book, which retails for $1500 and features a collection of 150 the world's most remarkable guitars, will be exhibited at the Museum Saturday, September 10 - Saturday, December 31.

This "native son" left Wichita in 1950, returning half a century later: a Captain of the British Empire, professor, museum director and adventurer who had traveled the world. Dr. Jones has published a limited edition book about his experiences entitled "A Stranger Abroad" which he will present and sign. The book will be available for sale that evening at the Museum. Dr. Jones departs soon for Kenya. This event is free and open to the public.

The Banff Mountain Film Festival (BMFF) World Tour brings the excitement, the spectacle, and the richness of the mountains and mountain culture to Wichita.
