With 42 years of recording and touring experience behind them, Tower of Power has a new album, The Great American Soulbook, which features covers of soul classics with guest singers Joss Stone, Sir Tom Jones, Huey Lewis, and Sam Moore. First Friday

Talent on Parade Performing Arts Competition: Century II - Concert Hall. 10 am. Visit www.talentonparade.com for more information.

 

First Friday: Various Venues. 6:30 pm. As the name implies First Friday happens the first Friday of each month. First Friday is a monthly music crawl featuring local Kansas, and regional artists, performing at venues in and around downtown. This monthly event is held in an effort to draw locals and visitors into the heart of the Wichita metropolitan area in an experience that exposes local talent, and increases the awareness of the arts culture.

Art, Book & Craft Fair

Wichita TalentFest: The Orpheum - 200 N. Broadway. 9 am. The Medical Service Bureau is pleased to announce the first annual Wichita TalentFest. The preliminaries will be on May 7th, 9 am to 9 pm at the Orpheum Theatre with tickets costing $10. The finals on May 8th will be held at Abode Venue from 7 pm. to 10 pm. The price of this VIP Dinner events is $100.
