Magic Flute

The 25th Annual Academy Award Nominated Short Films: Central Library - 223 S. Main. 261-8500. 5 pm. This is Wichita's chance to see Academy Award-nominated short subjects - films under 40 minutes - in animation, live action, and documentary categories. Films are not rated and may not be suitable for all audiences. Central Library's will be showing documentaries. All showings are FREE!

 

Mosley Street Melodrama234 N. Mosley. 263-0222. 6:00 pm. Current production is Where's the Gold? I Don't Know...Alaska. Show runs Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Evenings. Doors open at 6:00pm, the buffet opens at 6:15pm, and the show starts at 7:50pm. Dinner & Show Tickets - $26 (aduluts), $22 (age 60+), $20 (ages 12 & under). Show Only Tickets - $16 all ages.

 

Stuffed Animal "Sleepover:" Central Library - 223 S. Main. 261-8500. 7 pm. Listen to some of our favorite bedtime stories, sing songs, and more. Wear your pajamas and bring a stuffed animal. Children aged 3-8 will make photo albums that will be filled up with pictures of their stuffed animals and all the crazy things they did when they slept over at the library. Stuffed animals and photo albums must be picked up by Thursday, March 10. (45 Minutes)

 

"The Magic Flute" ("Die Zauberflote"): Wichita Scottish Rite - 332 E. First St. 316-978-3233. 7:30 pm. "The Magic Flute," staged by WSU Opera and Musical Theatre, holds a special draw; it will be held in the beautiful Scottish Rite auditorium in downtown Wichita. The G-rated opera is one the whole family can enjoy. Tickets are $16, with discounts available.
