For Once in My LifeFor Once in my Life: Orpheum Theatre. 200 N. Broadway. 263-0884. 7pm. Free.  Made up of 28 musicians and singers who all have severe mental and physical disabilities, the Spirit of Goodwill Band is a raucous home away from home where members are free to display their talent, humor, and tenacity. For Once In My Life challenges preconceived notions of what it means to be disabled.

Join us as we enter the final countdown to the 25th Annual Academy Awards Short Film Program for a series of retrospectives. We'll screen selected animated, live action, and documentary short films, decade by decade. Films are not rated and recommended for adult audiences.

Douglas.  267-7658.  8pm.  David Shifrin conquers Weber's flashy Clarinet Concerto No. 2, followed by a spirited duet with the WSO's own Suzaqnne Tirk. Add in Beethoven's beloved Pastoral Symphony and this is one collaboration that will leave you wanting more.

Kansas African American Museum
 
TKAAMThe Kansas African American Museum, formerly the venerable old Calvary Baptist Church was once the cornerstone of Wichita's vibrant black community. Today, the building stands as a monument to the people, pride, and promise of Kansas African Americans.
TKAAM is more than just a building that houses historical artifiacts and exhibits, it is a museum dedicated to bridging the gap of understanding between cultures.

WINTRUST Bank Arenaith a year under it's belt, the INTRUST Bank Arena is pleased to invite you to the One Year Anniversary Celebration.  This free event will offer public ice skating on the arena's ice rink and complimentary skates rental. Select concessions will be featured for $1.00 in order to keep the event affordable and fun for everyone. The Wichita Thunder mascot, Thunder Dog, will also be on hand to greet fans and complimentary face painting will be available for guests.
