WaterWalk Rocks Concert WaterWalk Rocks Concert: Wichita WaterWalk.  515 S. Main.  219-6060.  Doors open at 6:30pm, Nouveau Quintette begins at 7:30pm.  Free.  Yia Yia's Eurobistro will have a cash bar and grill.  Model home open from 6-pm. 

Final Friday Art Crawl: Downtown Wichita.  7pm.  Hours vary between different galleries but all are open during core hours of 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Most galleries use Final Friday to unveil and debut new shows. The event is free and open to the public and several galleries provide light refreshments.

Sound of Music Sing-A-Long Sound of Music: Orpheum Theatre.  200 N. Broadway.  263-0884.  General Admission tickets are $5 ($4 for Seniors, Military and Students) and will be sold at the door, night of the show.  Doors open at 7pm.

Smithsonian Magazine's 6th Annual Museum Day:
Museums all over the country are opening their doors to the public, free of charge.  For more information and to sign-up, visit their website.  One ticket per household, see website for details.


Wagonmasters Downtown Chili Cookoff: Corner of Douglas and St. Francis.  264-6005.  12pm.  Free admission, $5 tasting kits.  Watch as over 40 teams come together to compete for over $6,000 in prizes.  The day isn't complete without live music and contest such as pepper eating and the coveted Mr. Hot Stuff and Ms. Chili Pepper.

Darlin Maudie CD Release Party:

Old Town Farmers Market:

Wichita Symphony Orchestra POPS concert: Hits of the 60's and 70's: Century II Convention Hall.  225 W. Douglas.  267-7658.  8pm.  Tickets range from $15-$5 and are available online.  Joining the Orchestra will be the renowned vocal quintet ROCKAPELLA.

Blues Crawl: Old Town.  9/26/10.  A Wichita Blues Society tradition that fills the air of Old Town with the sounds of Blues.  $5 allows you to enjoy strolling from venue to venue and experiencing a different blues band at each stop.  For more information, visit the Blues Society website.

Your input has helped shape the plan and the future of our Downtown. Project Downtown: The Master Plan for Wichita is ready to be presented, and you're invited to this major event. Join together with your fellow community members, the Wichita Downtown Development Corporation, the City of Wichita, and Goody Clancy as we see the vision for today.  Open House: 4:00-8:00 Presentation at 5:30 and 6:30 Join us as we celebrate this milestone with a sampling of food from around Downtown, a cash bar and visual Downtown art by local artists. While you're enjoying the music, visit booths with more information on three specific areas of Project Downtown: Creating Unique Downtown Places, Expanding Transportation Choices, and Enabling Development.
