Greetings!,

As we begin to anticipate the 2012 AAP Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, NV, it is also helpful to look back.  The 2011 AAP Annual Meeting was a great success!  We sincerely appreciate the time and effort shared by the program committee, the outstanding speakers and all of the attendees.

If you presented at the 2011 meeting, a letter has been mailed to you containing participant feedback from your individual presentations.  Also, keep an eye out for the AAP Summer Newsletter in August which will include detailed results from 2011 Annual Meeting evaluations.  The 2012 Preliminary Program will accompany your Summer Newsletter.

Sincerely,

The AAP

PS.  The Call for Papers and Posters for the 2012 AAP Annual Meeting is now open through September 12, 2011.  Visit the AAP website for details!

The AAP Research Council would like to solicit nominations for the Carolyn L. Braddom Research Award:  This award is presented to an individual (preferably a physiatrist and an Association member) who, over a previous five-year period, has conducted research that has had the most significant impact on the science and practice of PM&R.  The intent is to look at research outcome rather than publication.  The same individual can win the award only once in a ten-year period.  The individual will be presented with a plaque and a monetary award of $750 from the Braddom endowment at the 2012 AAP Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, NV.  The winner should make the research available as a poster or handout at the Annual Meeting.

EXTENDED DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS: Monday, August 22, 2011.
