Sincerely,

The AAP

The AAP Research Council would like to solicit nominations for the Carolyn L. Braddom Research Award:  This award is presented to an individual (preferably a physiatrist and an Association member) who, over a previous five-year period, has conducted research that has had the most significant impact on the science and practice of PM&R.  The intent is to look at research outcome rather than publication.  The same individual can win the award only once in a ten-year period.  The individual will be presented with a plaque and a monetary award of $750 from the Braddom endowment at the 2012 AAP Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, NV.  The winner should make the research available as a poster or handout at the Annual Meeting.

DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS: July 17, 2011.

AJPMR Introduces New Video Gallery

The July issue of AJPMR introduces an exciting new feature. This feature is a unique combination of text, voice and video that more clearly presents and explains procedures in musculoskeletal medicine. These videos will be available on the journal's Website. We hope that this new feature will change and enhance the learning experience.

Video Gallery: To view the online video of these procedures, use your smartphone camera QR Reader App to scan and capture this QR Code or visit www.AJPMR.com to locate this digital video content.

Bone and Joint Decade/Initiative Grant Mentoring Program

The United States Bone and Joint Decade/Initiative (USBJD/I) and Bone and Joint Decade Canada are dedicated to increasing research of musculoskeletal diseases.  The USBJD/I has developed a grant mentoring program to provide early-career investigators an opportunity to work with experienced researchers in our field to assist them in securing funding and other survival skills required for pursuing an academic career.
