Continuously entrepreneural autumn

including professional fun

September passed without noticing that the Swedes beat us in football, that autumn started on September 23, that we were hosted by Lindorff Estonia at a seminar on contemporary cash flow management. October has been not a milligram less busy and entrepreneural: starting off by Nordic Open 2011 conference organized by DECC and Estochamber from Sweden, followed by the pan-chamber Investors' Summit 2011 discussing labor market issues and a breakfast seminar on international transport risk management.

What's up before Christmas? Trust me - a lot! First of all, I have the pleasure to invite you for a company visit to a Danish company started already in 1960 by producing liferafts for fishing vessels. Where have they arrived today? Next, there are other organizations that have organized a bunch of nice events i.e seminars and trainings that will be noted below. But it is also important to note down and book the Christmas party this year on December 9th, where you'll hear about the next year's plans for the chamber, as well as enjoy a comfortable and relaxed company of our members and friends. Registration for the party will be opened as of November 1.

See you all very soon!

Merli Lindberg

"How safe are we on the sea?"

Wednesday, November 2, 17:00-19:00

Helgi tee 3, Peetri kla

Entrance: Free of Charge

A company visit to Viking Life-Saving Equipment Estonia will take place already next week. Viking is a Danish company from 1960ies when it first started to produce liferafts for shipping vessels. Nowadays it is both a production and service company for maritime life-saving equipment, as well as a producer of essential safety equipment to fire fighters, medical and emergency equipment and so forth.

The CEO of Estonian unit, Mr Jaanus Zovo, who is a life-long sea captain himself, shall introduce us the company history, how it expanded, give us an overview of the Estonian unit's operations and answer our questions on sea safety. Exciting part of the event: we'll be able to climb to life-rafts and take a quick course on how to get the life-jacket on within seconds.

We are looking forward to an enjoyable visit of DECC members and friends, especially the ones interested in sailing and safety issues.

More information click here, for registration, please click here. Latest registration deadline October 30th. NB In case of emergency and possibility of not showing up, please unregister or announce your absence at least 24h in advance.
