The year of export boost
Banks, analysts, statistics feed us with good news - the Estonian export is at good levels. Though unemployment, as well as consumer confidence is still low as stated by one Lars Christensen at our ths year's first event "Let's start exporting - Denmark" that was very warmly welcomed. Production costs are rising, salaries are on the way to increase ... There is definite need to increase productivity and keep on selling outside Estonia. Enthused by the success of our first seminar on this topic, we continue the same path and continue to bring export related news to you through the year.
NB Check out the photos of the export seminar from our homepage www.decc.ee .
Last year ended with a warm and cosy Christmas party at premises kindly offered by Trigon Capital. It is good to see that the cooperation between the chamber and Trigon Capital is continuing - check out the updated offers section on our homepage!

Recent news from Copenhagen Post:

- The recent study shows that most Danes are ready to work after turning 60, which forms a strong argument for the abolition of the early retirement scheme.

 - Danish food ingredient and enzyme giant Danisco this week received a 36 billion kroner takeover bid from US-based chemical producer DuPont. While this is one of the biggest business deals in Danish history, it looks like 2011 will see several other such acquisitions by international companies. Numerous renowned Danish companies could be bought up by big multinational companies. Bankers have named Danish giants such as Vestas, NKT, Topdanmark and B&O have been named as possible targets.
