DECC - Danish-Estonian Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization est in 2007. The purpose of the organization is to support economic relations between Denmark and Estonia, facilitate networking and  keep the members up to date with relevant news.

decc_manager Preparations for the end of the year

There's not much time left till the end of 2009. As you notice, we haven't planned too much for this busy time of the year, so you could take it as calm and relaxed as possible. Even though, pay attention to the fascinating seminar at Sampo bank and book your time for the Christmas event, which this year is for your    whole family. Moreover, you are already welcome to start the membership renewal for the new year.

Mr Aivar Rehe, the CEO of Sampo Bank in Estonia, welcomes to a seminar on "Is the Economy Ascendant and How Far is the €uro?".
There are sign that the economy is picking up speed again. Have we hit the bottom?
Estonia is trying to do everything in these turbulent financial times to prepare for the possible enlargement of the € zone in 2011. There are several doubts and discussions on these topics. Is it only to elimininate the currency risk? What opinion does a person have who is managing one of the leading banks in Scandinavia?
 
Guest speaker Mrs Irja Rae, board member of Fontes Palgakonsultatsioonid O� to present the latest salary survey done in Estonia, including detailed information on payment schemes and levels used for more than 30.000 positions. Along with this there is also information on salary increase forecast.

tallinn_christmas DECC Christmas event Dec 11th
 
Date/ Place: Dec 11, 18:00-21:00, Hobuveski, Tallinn
 
This year's chamber's Christmas event will take place in an ancient location of Hobuveski, with authentic Scandinavian holiday food, with a friendly nanny taking care of the children and a real Santa Claus giving little gifts for all children.
 
Official invite will be included to the next week's newsletter. Book the date and start registering. There are only limited number of guests.

  • Our member company MAQS Law Firm expands its business to Riga and Vilnius. Read more.
  • Near-Shoring O� and Sunny Business Services thank the donators. The guests of Sunny Business Services housewarming party donated in total 46,400 kroons to support Haiba Orphanage. We and the children from the orphanage are very grateful to all the donators. We hope that our guests got a nice change in their everyday work routine.   • FICE website is up and running. Go and take a minute to check it out www.fice.ee  FICE - Foreign Investors' Council in Estonia FICE was launched in August 2008 as a lobby group acting through contacts with the Estonian Government and Estonia's Governmental bodies. Several work groups have been started up that are expecting your participation. That's a place where our voice really matters.
  • Next DECC council meeting will take place on November 24th at 5pm. In case anyone would like to suggest a topic or make a proposal to be discussed, please feel free to contact info@decc.ee and inform us about it.
  • The personal exhibition of the winner of grand prix at the 2nd Tallinn Illustrations Triennial, the Danish artist Lilian Br�gger can be seen at the Illustration's Gallery of the Estonian Children's Literature Centre from November 3-28, 2009.   • The Association of Danish Printmaking Artists are presenting their exhibition consisting more than a hundred works at the 3rd Tallinn Illustrations Triennal "The Power of Pictures" at the National Library of Estonia, November 3rd - 30th. Read more
