Verizon Wireless Amphitheater allows non-profit organizations to work concessions at their concerts for a percentage of the revenue. The Saint Charles Young Republicans have a contract there and will be staffing a booth (along with the Saint Louis Young Republicans) at every concert this season. We sell mostly beer, but we may also sell water and soda, depending on which concert. It's a great way for the clubs to make money.
 
In order to work at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater for our fundraising efforts, you must be TIPS (Training for Intervention ProcedureS) trained (training is valid for three years). You only have to attend ONE of the possible training classes.

The final orientations will be on April 28, 2012, 10:00 AM or May 5, 2012, 10:00 AM.  Final TIPS Training classes will also be available on these days. April 28, 2012, TIPS at 1:00 PM or May 5, 2012, TIPS at 12:00 PM.  Please dress accordingly to the weather because these classes will be outside.  Orientation will be 2 hours long and TIPS is 2 and a half hours long and no children will be aloud at these classes. All orientations and TIPS Training will be held at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater.

If you need to renew your TIPS training (it's good for 3 years), please try to attend one of these sessions. Also, there is now an orientation that they would like every volunteer to attend, if possible. This orientation will be at the same times as the TIPS training. So if you need TIPS training renewal, you can attend both that day. If you do not need to renew your TIPS training, you can just attend the orientation. We are strongly encouraged to have all our volunteers at the orientation.

2012 dues are now due. The club's dues go to help pay or offset the cost of the events we do throughout the year. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Membership due support the operations of the organization and allow us to sponsor events and activities. Paying your 2012 dues will make you eligible for free or reduced prices on events and activities in 2012. You will also receive priority e-mail notification of upcoming events and activities. (2012 Membership: 02-09-2012 until 02-13-2013)

Annual membership dues are only $25.00 per regular or associate member, or $40.00 per married couple, or $50.00 per sustaining member, $100.00+ for advisory board member, or $300+ for President's circle per calendar year.

The Monthly General meeting will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 7:30 PM at The Jefferson Grill in Downtown Kirkwood, which is located at 125 West Jefferson Ave, Kirkwood, Missouri 63122. The meetings are held in the private room to the left side of the restaurant. You are welcome to purchase food and/or drinks during the meeting.

Our May Happy Hour will be a Barbeque held on Friday, May 18, 2012 at the home of YR Jessica Pyritz. The address is 1225 Claytonia Terrace, Apartment A, Richmond Heights, Missouri 63117.  The party starts at 6:00 PM.

We will provide beer, please feel free to bring anything else you may want. The main dish will be provided. We ask that everyone please bring a side dish or dessert to share.

The Saint Louis Young Republicans' night at the Cardinals game will be Wednesday, June 13, 2012, Cardinals VS White Sox. The game starts at 7:15 PM. We're sitting in the All-Inclusive Bank of America Club. Beer service begins at 5:45 PM and the Buffet begins at 6:15 PM.

The first schedule has been released. Volunteers are expected to be able to arrive sometime between the Call Time and Gates Open. For the "All Day" shows, we are trying to find out our requirements - whether our stand will be open all day (requiring a morning shift and evening shift) or just in the evening.

The Young Republican Leadership Conference is the biennial signature event of the Young Republican National Federation. This prestigious event brings together the nation's top young Republicans with elected officials from around the country in Washington D.C. for a weekend of leadership training and grassroots development.

The Saint Louis County Board of Elections is looking for people to staff various polling places on Election Day, June 05, 2012.

The pay range is $130.00 to $180.00 which includes a mandatory training class held at their office in Maplewood prior to the election.

 To work at the polls you must be a registered voter of Missouri.
