Our September speaker is Federal Prosecutor John Sauer. John Sauer is an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Saint Louis. He clerked for Justice Scalia on the Supreme Court, and was Law Clerk to Circuit Judge Luttig in the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fourth District. Mr. Sauer was a litigation associate at Cooper & Kirk in D.C. He graduated summa cum laude from Duke University with double major in Electrical Engineering and Philosophy, and graduated from the University of Notre Dame with an M.A. in Philosophy. He was a Rhodes Scholar. He graduated magna cum laude with his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was the Articles Editor for the Harvard Law Review. Mr. Sauer has been with the U.S. Attorney Office in Saint Louis for the past two years.
The Monthly General meeting will be held on Thursday, September 08, 2011 at 7:30 PM at The Jefferson Grill in Downtown Kirkwood, which is located at 125 West Jefferson Ave, Kirkwood, Missouri 63122. The meetings are held in the private room to the left side of the restaurant. You are welcome to purchase food and/or drinks during the meeting.

Upcoming YR Concert Fundraisers |

 Verizon Wireless Amphitheater allows non-profit organizations to work concessions at their concerts for a percentage of the revenue. The Saint Charles Young Republicans have a contract there and will be staffing a booth (along with the Saint Louis Young Republicans) at every concert this season. We sell mostly beer, but we may also sell water and soda, depending on which concert. It's a great way for the club to make money.

The Pointfest concert at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater will be on Saturday, September 10, 2011. Call time is 9:30 AM and the gates open at 10:30 AM. Early Shift is 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM and Late Shift is 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. You must be TIPS trained.

The Uproar concert at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater will be on Sunday, September 25, 2011. Call time is 1:00 PM and the gates open at 2:00 PM. Early Shift is 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and Late Shift is 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. You must be TIPS trained.
