Our August speaker will be Rush James. After graduating from Mizzou in 2008, Rush James went to work for Kenny Hulshof and made a significant contribution to the John McCain campaign.  In January 2009 Rush was appointed as the Clayton Committeeman for Clayton Township where he served for a year and a half.  In 2010, he began working for the Missouri Republican Party mainly doing work for Ed Martin and Roy Blunt.  In March 2011, he ran Steve Swyers race for Monarch Fire Director and unseated a 14-year incumbent.

Rush is now the Communications Director for Ed Martin and have been doing so for almost 3 months.  The majority of his campaign work has been in Saint Louis City, Saint Louis County and Saint Charles County.

The Monthly General meeting will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 7:30 PM at The Jefferson Grill in Downtown Kirkwood, which is located at 125 West Jefferson Ave, Kirkwood, Missouri 63122. The meetings are held in the private room to the left side of the restaurant. You are welcome to purchase food and/or drinks during the meeting.

Verizon Wireless Amphitheater allows non-profit organizations to work concessions at their concerts for a percentage of the revenue. The Saint Charles Young Republicans have a contract there and will be staffing a booth (along with the Saint Louis Young Republicans) at every concert this season. We sell mostly beer, but we may also sell water and soda, depending on which concert. It's a great way for the club to make money.
