The November Elections are fast approaching and campaign volunteer opportunities are coming faster than ever. Please take the time to review all of the activities in this week's newsletter and don't miss some of the fun opportunities, like Hunter Farms or our Monthly Happy Hour. Also in the coming month, keep an eye out for the upcoming YR Day at the Range and YR Winery Trips in October.

Blunt Fundraiser at HUNTER FARMS |  Please, join us for a Roy Blunt Fundraiser on Friday, September 24, 2010, 5:30 PM at Hunter Farms, 13501 Ladue Road, St. Louis, MO 63141.
The event will be honoring Kit Bond's service and there will be special guest Rudy Giuliani speaking at the event.
There is a special YR Price of $50/person (regular $1250) You must be a DUES PAID YR to get the special price. |
2010 Missouri YR State Convention | 
The 2010 Missouri Young Republican State Convention will be held from Friday, October 1, 2010 through Sunday, October 3, 2010 in Saint Louis.
Activities planned include a welcome event, party, business meeting (officer elections), volunteering at the Saint Louis GOP Victory Headquarters, and going to the Taste of Saint Louis Food and Music Festival.

Upcoming YR Sand Volleyball Games |
 The YRs have a team registered for the Sunday night coed recreational league at the Stratford Inn ( 800 South Highway Drive, Fenton, Missouri 63026). The league started on Sunday, September 12, 2010. Game times range from 4:00 PM-10:40 PM. Leagues are 9 weeks with the 9th week being a playoff where we may play more than one time that night. You do not have to commit to playing every week in order to participate.
Next Game: Sunday, September 26, 2010, 6:00 PM, Court 1.
Please, email us ( info@stlouisyrs.com) if you are able to play this week. We need to know who will be participating in the game each week. The club has paid for the league so we are asking that you pay your 2010 calendar year dues of $25.00, if you would like to participate. You may pay your dues in person, by mail, or online.

Upcoming YR Concert Fundraisers |  Verizon Wireless Amphitheater allows non-profit organizations to work concessions at their concerts for a percentage of the revenue. The Saint Charles Young Republicans have a contract there and will be staffing a booth (along with the Saint Louis Young Republicans) at every concert this season. We sell mostly beer, but we may also sell water and soda, depending on which concert. It's a great way for the club to make money.
Kings of Leon (Rescheduled) - Saturday, September 25, 2010
The Kings of Leon concert at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater will be on Saturday, September 25, 2010. Call time is 5:30 PM and the gates open at 6:30 PM.
Our 2010 incentive plan:
- 1 concert/shift = Free Saint Louis Young Republican T-shirt
- 6 concerts/shifts = Your 2011 Saint Louis County Lincoln-Reagan Days Dinner or your registration to the 2011 State YR Convention paid for
- 10 concerts/shifts = Your 2011 Saint Louis County Lincoln-Reagan Days dinner AND your registration to the 2011 State YR Convention paid for
Don't forget that any tips received during the concerts are divided among the volunteers so you can actually make a few bucks for your personal wallets! |

Upcoming Campaign Volunteer Opportunities |
Missouri GOP Victory 2010
The Missouri GOP needs volunteers to make phone calls at their Victory 2010 office. ( 10825 Watson Road, Suite 120, 63127). The office is located on Watson Road between Lindbergh and I-270, across Watson Road from Borders Books.
The office is open daily. Any time you are willing to donate would be greatly appreciated. If you are interested in make phone calls, please contact Rush James at (314) 821-4700 or rush@mogop.org
On Friday September 24th between 1:00pm and 4:00pm Rudy Giuliani will be joining Roy Blunt at the Saint Louis Headquarters to speak with volunteers as they help make phone calls to support the campaign.

Dues |
Annual membership dues are $25.00 per regular or associate member, or $40.00 per married couple, or $50.00 per sustaining member, $100.00+ for advisory board member, or $300+ for President's circle per calendar year.
