Greetings Fellow Young Republicans |
Well after the recent election of Scott Brown to the United States Senate, taking away a seat held by the Democrats for over 50 years, you would have expected President Obama to change his tune during last week's State of the Union address. Well, you'd be wrong. Even in the face of declining numbers the Obama administration is still pushing forward with a liberal agenda, speckled with small conservative overtures to Republicans, taunting them to swallow his otherwise horrendous expansion of the federal government.
It appears the Obama administration won't head off a 2010 electoral disaster by pulling a switch similar to Clinton in 1995. So this year, more than ever, the GOP will need our help to take back this country. |

St. Louis YR Monthly Meeting |
This month, the St. Louis Young Republicans are pleased to have Sen. Jane Cunningham join us as our speaker at our February 11th meeting. Sen. Cunningham spent 8 years in the Missouri House representing Chesterfield and was elected to the Senate in 2008.
Sen. Cunningham has distinguished herself as a champion of Education issues while serving as the Chair of the House Committee on Education for 5 years and continues her leadership in the Senate as Vice Chair for the Committee on Financial and Governmental Organizations, and Elections.
The General meeting is at 7:30 p.m. and is held in the County Council chambers located on the second floor of the Government Center, which is located at 41 S. Central in Clayton, MO. A map is located below: Click here for Map and Directions
As always, I suggest parking at the public lot on the corner of S. Central and Carondolet, across from the Buzz Westfall Memorial Justice Center. Enter the Government Center from the East side of the building (directly west of the public parking lot), go inside and continue up the escalators inside to the second floor. |
