CynthiaA Message From Our President:
Cynthia Everhart

Dear ,

The American Advertising Federation-Madison Chapter is preparing for the 2010 membership drive and you will be seeing membership information in your mailbox later this month.  Our club has undergone many significant changes in the last few years and we hope you will consider becoming a member for 2010 and/or renewing your membership in 2010. Membership in AAF-Madison can pay for itself quickly through free or discounted lunches, discounts on services and products and opportunities to learn, network and grow within Madison's marketing and advertising community.

AAF-Madison has not raised its dues for many years and we believe you will find our dues a good value when you consider all the benefits you will receive.  Corporate and Active members receive free-of-charge lunch meetings which alone values more than the membership itself.   In 2010, we have already lined up two big name speakers for our meetings: Will Gay from Disney will speak at our March education program and networking expert Hank Blank is teed up for the February meeting.

As a member of AAF Madison you enjoy the support and recognition offered through quality programs, leadership development and professional communication tools.  In addition to our nearly monthly programs and education opportunities, membership in AAF-Madison allows you to receive significant discounts on distribution services, FedEx shipping, car rentals, blast e-mail and fax services, web-hosting, ad-trade magazine subscriptions and health and dental insurance through a local Madison Insurance agency.  More information on the many benefits of membership can be found on our website at www.aafmadison.org.

If you are not already a member of AAF-Madison, we hope you will consider joining your peers and colleagues in the AAF-Madison Chapter by becoming a member for 2010.  On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, we would like to thank you in advance for your investment in our industry and the AAF-Madison Chapter.
Sincerely,

Cynthia Everhart, President
2009-2010 AAF-Madison Board of Directors

Ad2Ad2 Update:
Ad 2 Madison Promotes Club and Student ADDY Awards

The week of October 26 was quite
busy for Ad 2 Madison Past President Kristen Parent and Membership Chair Michelle Berryman. The two teamed up to visit local colleges to promote Ad 2 Madison and the student ADDY Awards on behalf of AAF-Madison. So far, Kristen and Michelle have visited a strategic communications class at UW-Madison, the UW Ad Club and Herzing University.

Regarding the ADDY Awards, Kristen and Michelle covered areas such as what can be submitted, how to enter and the benefits of entering the competition. They also left entry envelopes with the groups in the hopes of making it easier for students to enter.

In the next few weeks, Kristen and Michelle also will be visiting Edgewood and Madison College (formerly MATC). Ad 2 Madison is hopeful that this personal outreach will boost entries for 2010.
