DIABETES
 
The base rating for diabetes depends on age of diagnosis.  People diagnosed in their mid-50's or later can obtain Standard rates for life insurance if they see their doctor on a regular basis and their current A1C is 6.5 or lower.
 
So, the questions to ask in your fact finding should include:
  • Age of onset
  • Current treatment
  • How often your clients sees his/her doctor
  • Their last glucose reading, and
  • Their last A1C reading

Dentists (3P) and 3A occupations earning $100K or more are now eligible for $15K max issue from Standard Insurance.  Participation limits for dentists and other 3P occupations have increased to $20K.  Participation limits for 3A occupations have increased to $25K.
