Meet Her At The Gate
What keeps us from loving our neighbor? Are we too busy? Is it fear? Or do we find ourselves, like the rich young ruler, asking "who is our neighbor?"

The fact is that God sends us our neighbors and it's our duty to love them no matter who they are or what their past is like. Extraordinary Enterprises seeks to educate and train the Church to reach out to their Christian sisters as they exit the prison gate through our "Meet Her At The Gate" program.

*Nearly 115,800 women are in state or federal prisons alone, more than 7% of the total U.S. prison population of over 1.6 million.

*One in every 89 adult women in the U.S. is under correctional supervision.

*62% of women in state prisons are parents of children under 18.

*More than 725,400 were released from federal and state prison in 2007. The federal government estimates that more than two-thirds of people released from prison are rearrested within three years.

If we can change the life of one woman, we change a family. If we change a family, we change a community. If we change a community, we change a city. If we change a city, we change a nation; one woman at a time.

Extraordinary Enterprises has created a program for churches that want to be a part of welcoming female ex-offenders back into communities and fostering their growth in the Christian life.  Meet Her at the Gate is ideal for a church that wants to "adopt" an ex-prisoner into their church body.
