Greetings!
This month we celebrate Valentine's Day, a day when we show our sweethearts how much we love them. But do you also show your customers how much you care for them? Do you nurture those sales leads? Do you follow up with customer inquiries? I'll bet many companies don't spread the love on a consistent basis. So, give your customers a little attention this Valentine's Day and make them feel as if they are your only customer. You'll reap many dividends for years to come. Read the following article for some tips on how to nurture your prospects.

Nurture Those Prospects
Changing the Way You Handle Leads
How many of those leads that your marketing folks so diligently work to acquire are actually followed up by your sales force? We're usually good at tracking leads insofar as how many we get, where we get them, etc. But, what happens after you throw them over the wall, so to speak, to your sales organization? Do you track if they follow up on those leads? And if you do, how many of those leads ever become a sale? Most sales people tend to complain that they either already knew about that lead or that the prospect doesn't have any money. The problem is that if your competition nurtures that prospect, and your sales force doesn't, your company will lose out on a sale every time.
So, how can marketing help the sales organization move a lead or inquiry up the continuum into that sales-ready position? Well, it takes more than just sending out literature in response to an inquiry and seeing if you get another request from the prospect. Wouldn't it be nice to start a relationship at the beginning of a contact's inquiry? That's exactly what marketing should be doing in conjunction with your sales department. Here are a few suggestions to get you started in the right direction.
- Target the right people in the right company.
- Find out the prospect's buying process.
- Study your ideal customer so you'll be able to qualify your leads.
- Know the prospects' priorities and challenges.
- Set a goal, for example, to have one relevant touch every month.
- Categorize your leads by their place on the continuum, such as in the beginning stage, intermediate stage, or sales-ready position.
So, nurture those inquiries and you will be able to convert more of those leads into sales.

Mobile Marketing Tips
Helpful Hints, Tips and Techniques
Did you know that there are over 3 billion cell phone users worldwide? And the mobile device industry is continuing to grow at a rapid pace. Some analysts predict that mobile marketing will create a much bigger marketing opportunity within the next two years than the Internet has in the past ten years. But, how can you use this technology to market your products and services? Most of the users of this technology are the retailers, restaurants or entertainment industry. Restaurants offer coupons targeting their customers. And now with GPS technology, they can tell if their customers are located within a few block of their location. So, they can offer instant discounts or specials. Retailers also are experimenting with coupons. And, it is well-known how the entertainment business uses text messaging. Just think about last week's American Idol. Did you vote for your favorite contestant? All of these ideas are great but how does a business-to-business organization use this tool? Think about trade shows, special events, or even sweepstakes or contests. You can use this technology to bring in visitors to your booth. Think about mobile marketing akin to e-mail marketing. Instead of capturing e-mail addresses you are now capturing mobile phone numbers from customers who opt-in to your promotions. This is a great way to build one-on-one relationships with your customers. Read the entire Marketing Information Bulletin at our Website.
