WestJet Launches Service From Chicago O'Hare to Calgary, Vancouver


CHICAGO - May 14, 2012 - Canadian airline WestJet today began daily nonstop service from Chicago O'Hare International Airport to Vancouver, British Columbia, and Calgary, Alberta, Canada, the first WestJet planes to be located at O'Hare.

 

"We are pleased to welcome WestJet's new service to Chicago O'Hare International Airport," said Chicago Department of Aviation Commissioner Rosemarie S. Andolino. "As a new entrant carrier to O'Hare, WestJet offers our travelers more choices with a direct connection to two of Canada's most popular cities."

 

The flights depart Vancouver at 11:40 a.m. and arrive in Chicago at 5:39 p.m. The flight will leave O'Hare the following day at 8:45 a.m., arriving in Vancouver at 11:24 a.m. WestJet flights will leave Calgary at 4 p.m. and arrive in Chicago at 8:15 p.m. The flights will depart O'Hare at

WestJet will continue to market its nonstop service from Chicago to Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal through its partner American Airlines, with which it has code-share agreements.

 

Chicago is a major hub for American Airlines, providing connections to key destinations in the U.S. and around the world.

 

O'Hare offers more than 60 daily departures to 11 destinations in Canada - Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, London, Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec City, Regina, Toronto, Vancouver and Winnipeg.
