CHICAGO, April 6, 2012 - The Chicago Department of Aviation'sand travel retailer Hudson Group's"Meet the Author" event at O'Hare International Airport today was a hit!

Chicago native Deanna Burrell sold and signed nearly 40 copies of her first novel, Single Girl Summer, at Barbara's Bookstore in Terminal 2, E Concourse.

The book, set in Chicago, is about contemporary women and highlights the universal themes of love, friendship, and family.

 "Kind of like 'Sex in the City,' Burrell told the enthusiastic book buyers.

Thanks to banners outside the bookstore and Burrell's engaging sales pitch, many curious ticketed passengers and airport employees stopped by to chat with the author about her first novel.

After buying the book, one traveler came back to the store to tell Burrell he had already read five chapters and loved it.

Single Girl Summer is available at all Barbara's Bookstore locations.
