If you're a ticketed passenger or O'Hare employee, don't miss the chance to meet Deanna Burrell, a talented writer from Chicago who will sign copies of her new book, Single Girl Summer, from
10 a.m. to noon at Barbara's Bookstore in Terminal 2, E Concourse (post-security).
According to Burrell, the book, "is an upbeat, honest and inspiring tale of contemporary women that highlights the universal themes of love, friendship, heartache, healing, family and growth."
The novel celebrates women from all walks of life who enjoy contemporary fiction in an urban setting - Chicago. It has been featured in Jet magazine, the Chicago Tribune Red-Eye, N'Digo, the Chicago Defender, goodreads.com and many blogs.
A graduate of the Chicago Public School System and Northwestern University, Burrell is also a successful businesswoman and popular speaker. Her first book, Perspectives on Life, Love and the Pursuit of Happiness, is a collection of poems and essays about creativity, growth, and self-expression.
