Midway Airport Hosts Delegation from Swedavia Swedish Airports

Chicago - March 28, 2012 - The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) at Midway International Airport today hosted a delegation from Swedavia Swedish Airports.  Swedavia is a government-owned group that owns, operates and develops 11 airports across Sweden. The seven-person delegation included: Mr. Olle Sundin, Airport Director for Gothenburg Landvetter Airport and Bromma Stockholm Airport,  Mr. Patrik Pierd, Safety Manager Bromma Stockholm Airport, Mr. Dante Cherco, Director Project Future Bromma Stockholm Airport, Mr. Per Braathen, Chairman,  Braganza AS, Mr. Knut Solberg, CEO, Braathens Aviation, Mr. Trygve Gjertsen, Senior Vice President, Commercial, Braathens Aviation, Mr. Gunnar Lenman, Vice President, Ground Operations Malm� Aviation. 

 

The delegation met with CDA Managing Deputy Commissioner Erin O'Donnell and senior staff members during its visit to Midway, where the group discussed airport development and construction, operational efficiencies and management as well as  airline and community relations.

 

Since 2009, the CDA has hosted international delegations from Amsterdam, Netherlands; Latin America; the Caribbean; Singapore; Belgrade, Serbia; Abu Dhabi, UAE; Beijing, China; Incheon, South Korea; Henan Province, China; Zhoushan, China; and countries of the former Soviet Union and the United Kingdom.
