Holiday Cheer Abounds at O'Hare

It was family, music and holiday shopping at Chicago O'Hare International Airport on Friday, December 9. Below, a sampling of the good cheer for travelers:
 

 

AMR vets
American Airlines and non-profit Snowball Express provided flights to Dallas, Texas, for military personnel and their families.  Active and retired military officers from American and the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) joined in the departure celebration at O'Hare International Airport.

 

 

Music at ORD
The Evolution Quartet performs in Terminal 2 at O'Hare International Airport.  The group was part of the Chicago Department of Aviation's Holiday Delights Entertainment schedule, which provides live music, dance and cultural performances at in all terminals at O'Hare and MidwayInternationalAirports throughout the year.

Travelers at O'Hare International Airport on Friday, December 9, found special, unique gifts, such as accessories, apparel and jewelry from local fashion designers and independent retailers at the "Glitter" shopping event, which was also held at Midway International Airport on Wednesday, December 7. Designers included Love, Lulu Mae; Brynn Capella; The Tie Bar; FIVEaccessories; Mohop; Michelle Tan; Nora del Busto; Kristin Hassan; jules; Rock Candy by Helen; Veronica Riley Martens and Lucius. Chicago's Misericordia organization also participated in the "Glitter" events at both airports offering crafts and baked goods.
