Chicagoween at O'Hare and Midway
Today, the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) offered its own unique version of the City's Chicagoween celebration at O'Hare and Midway International Airports.
Passengers traveling through both airports today were treated to a fanciful Halloween Parade by Redmink Productions.
The Redmink troupe made its way through Concourses A, B and C at Midway from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The colorful and spooky characters included a witch, Frankenstein on stilts and costumed musicians. Halloween candy was distributed as the parade went through the Concourses.
At O'Hare, the parade proceeded through Terminals 1, 2 and 3 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The O'Hare Halloween parade featured characters including a Viking, a mummy, the Bride of Frankenstein on stilts, as well as musicians.
The Chicagoween entertainment is part of CDA "Music in the Air" program, which is a year-round program, organized in conjunction with Chicago's downtown festivals and holiday celebrations. |
