Airport Delegation from Amsterdam Visits O'Hare

Today, the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) hosted a delegation from Schipol Amsterdam Airport and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines at O'Hare International Airport. The delegation included strategic planners from a team that is developing the Master Plan for Schipol Amsterdam Airport.

 

The six-person delegation met with CDA Chief Operating Officer Khaled Naja, P.E. and senior staff members during its visit. 

 

The delegation listened to a presentation about the planning and progress of the O'Hare Modernization Program (OMP), construction activities, noise mitigation efforts and sustainability. The visit included tours of airfield construction and the domestic terminals at O'Hare.

 

Since 2009, the CDA has hosted international delegations from Latin America; the Caribbean; Changi, Singapore; Belgrade, Serbia; Abu Dhabi, UAE; Beijing, China; Incheon, South Korea; Henan Province, China; Zhoushan, China; and countries of the former Soviet Union and the United Kingdom.
