CDA to Present at Greenroofs & Walls of the World Virtual Summit
A video presentation by Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) Commissioner Rosemarie S. Andolino and CDA Deputy Commissioner of Sustainability Amy Malick will be broadcast at the first-ever Greenroofs & Walls of the World Virtual Summit this Wednesday, September 28. The two-day "Virtual Summit" begins tomorrow, Tuesday, September 27 and takes place entirely online. Andolino and Malick will join more than 50 speakers from around the world, including architects, ecologists, landscape architects, engineers, educators, industry CEOs, product manufacturers and suppliers, botanists, non-profit directors and government officials. The conference will cover proven standards of diverse green technologies as well as dynamic and cutting edge designs for greening the planet with building integrated greenery. The CDA presentation will focus on the major green roof projects the CDA has completed under the O'Hare Modernization Program, or OMP, as well as its future plans for green roofs at O'Hare and Midway International Airports, and the tremendous benefits and unique challenges the CDA has experienced in creating green roof space in an airport environment. The presentation will be broadcast online on Wednesday at 1:50 p.m. (CST) followed by a live question and answer session with Andolino and Malick. The presentation will then be available on-demand at the conference website.
