The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) will be participating in two contracting outreach events on Wednesday, September 14, 2011.

The first event is the 25th Annual Entrepreneurial Women's Business Conference, hosted by the Women's Business Development Center. The event will take place on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at McCormick Place Convention Center - West Building.

The CDA will staff an exhibit table and provide information on contracting opportunities and upcoming bid packages for 2011 and 2012. This event is the oldest conference and business opportunities fair for women in business in the country, and the premier event for women business owners in the Midwest.

The second event is the "Start Your Concession at O'Hare or Midway Airport" workshop on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at City of Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection, City Hall, 121 N. LaSalle St., Chicago, IL, Room 805.

The CDA Concessions Division will provide an overview of the Request for Proposals (RFP) process, discuss the operations aspect of having a business at Chicago's airports, and explain Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) certification.
