FAA's Fornarotto to Keynote Sustainability Forum At Airports Going Green Conference
Christa Fornarotto, the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Associate Administrator for Airports, will join airport and industry leaders to keynote the 2011 Airports Going Green Conference. Fornarotto will address attendees on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at the fourth annual Airports Going Green conference held in Chicago at the Westin River North Oct. 31 through Nov. 2.
Fornarotto oversees a $3.5 billion annual federal airport grants program and passenger facility charge collections totaling $2 billion. She also manages programs for national airport planning and development, including safety standards, design and engineering, certification, environmental, and financing. The FAA is currently funding an Airport Sustainable Master Plan Pilot Program at 10 U.S. airports to evaluate ways to make sustainability a core objective at every airport.
