ESL CONVERSATION GROUP | NEW Evening Session begins Tuesday, March 9th from 6:30PM-8PM
Literacy Programs of NJ is hosting an
ESL Conversation Group here at the library. The goals of the Adult ESL
Program focus primarily on the adult family members.
The goals of the
program are:
- provide English language instruction
- help adults gain motivational skills through knowledge and to pursue further education and training
- to enhance the parenting skills of the adult participants.
This program is FREE.
Students must be 18 or over. You can get a registration form at the library's circulation desk.

So you just finished a really great book...now what? With BookNews, you will be the first to know about the latest books based on YOUR interests!
 The Sayreville Public Library is proud to offer you BookNews, a new online
service for readers. This new reader's advisory service gives you access
to free electronic newsletters about a wide variety of books via your e-mail!
Readers can access the service via the
BookNews icon on the Sayreville Library's homepage, and select the newsletters they wish to read. They can also
elect to receive the monthly newsletters via e-mail on the 15th of each month.
Readers can select electronic
newsletters based on genres, including new fiction, new non-fiction, mystery, classics, business books, home and garden
books, and science fiction books. The newsletters are also categorized by books that have received awards, such as the Pulitzer Prize for History and a newsletter about works for children that have received the Caldecott Medal for illustration. Other categories include age (such as books for children and teens), large-print books, audio books and other interests.
The newsletters include reviews,
descriptions and author commentaries. Links within the newsletters take subscribers directly to the library catalog, so they can easily see if a title is available at this library or anywhere in the library system.

Find Money for College Tuesday, 2/23 from 6:30PM to 7:30PM
 Now that the
college acceptance letters are rolling in, you have to start thinking
about how to pay the tuition. This program will cover the many
different types of scholarships, grants, and loans. This program will
also give tips on how to fill out the FAFSA (Free Application for
Federal Student Aid).

Middle School Rock Band 2 Tournament Friday, 2/26 at 3PM
 Calling all gamers in grades 6-8 to compete
in this region-wide competition. Have you and your friends mastered Rock
Band 2? Then we need you to compete for Sayreville Public Library! The
top scorers will move on to the 1st Annual Lib Cup Tournament to be
held in April. At Lib Cup, you'll compete for prizes for both yourself
