| 'Math and Snacks' Student Success
The LMC South Haven Campus has been enjoying "Math and Snacks" for the past several years. Now students at the Napier Avenue Campus are combining learning with tasty treats. Created by LMC math instructor Peter Brown , the concept was born out of a non-traditional way for students to socialize, and also learn at the same time. Brown said, "Math and Snacks promotes culture and relationships." Snacks usually include something hearty in a crock pot, made by Brown's wife, other math instructors and students too. Math instructors are available once a week for a two-hour period to assist students with math while they meet other students and grab a bite to eat.

QR Codes at LMC
LMC is using QR codes in many marketing and recruitment efforts as a fast way to communicate with the community, students and future students. A QR code, or 'quick response' code, is a matrix barcode, readable by QR scanners, mobile phones with a camera and smartphones. The code, as shown here, consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on white background. The information encoded can be text, URL or other data. Load up one of the many QR reader applications developed for your smartphone, then hold your phone up to this code and go directly to the LMC website!
