Line Mechanic Rodeo & Graduation
18 students showed off the line mechanic skills they learned during the 900-hour, 36-week line mechanic course at LMC. Utility company recruiters were in the audience to observe prospective employees, and family and friends gathered to watch the exciting events followed by a graduation ceremony on October 14. LMC Supports United Way
A successful 2010 LMC United Way campaign recently came to a close. More than $18,000 in pledges and contributions were raised among College faculty and staff. To further show its support of the work United Way does, LMC is a featured organization in a public awareness campaign United Way is conducting. LMC employees Louis Thomas, Millie Woods and Jodie Littlefield are featured on "Live United" billboards throughout Berrien County. Look for them as you drive through the community.

And all for a good cause...scholarships for LMC students. Procurement chairs, John and Karin Janick are recruiting volunteers for Winner's Circle 21 and are hoping you will join the procurement team. The procurement team is responsible for procuring items and services for the auction block. We are asking volunteers to make requests from a targeted list of businesses - you can make as many contacts as you feel comfortable with (average is 3 to 5). | Logistics Classes at Bertrand Crossing
A number of area businesses recently approached Lake Michigan College about their need for entry level workers who

are trained in the basics of logistics. Based on that need, the College has partnered with those companies to develop a series of classes to train individuals in the areas of warehousing, sales and operations. An advisory committee consisting of industry representatives has formed to create an associate's degree in logistics. The first class, Introduction to Logistics, will be offered this winter at the Bertrand Crossing Campus.
