THE SUMMER OF HAPPINESS!
 | | Randy with one of many new friends she made at the Tibetan Center in Kingston, NY |
I hope summer has treated you well and that you've had a chance to savor some sweet moments. It has been a wonderful summer for us with film screenings across the world, and awards to boot! We are so grateful to everyone who's resonating with the message of hope and possibility that the film opens up. As we joke about here, our goal is "World Happiness Domination," so this has been a dream come true. Happiness is contagious, and together we ARE making a change.
More film festivals and workshops are around the corner including the awesome Wisdom 2.0 Youth Conference and a Happiness Series with the innovative Happiness Institute of San Francisco. Join us if you can and be on the lookout for our new online course, coming soon.
As summer winds down, do remember to put aside some time for you: time when you can connect with yourself, connect with the people you care about and connect with something greater however you define it.
With love and happy wishes,
Randy

50%Randy Taran Joins Speakers at Wisdom 2.0 Youth Conference
 | | Wisdom 2.0 Youth - Mindfulness in a tech world. |
Randy Taran will be leading a breakout session at Wisdom 2.0 Youth, a special event directed for parents, educators, and teens on September 17th in Silicon Valley.
With over 75% of teens now owning cell phones (sending or receiving over 3,000 texts per month) the impact of technology on young people has increased dramatically. This presents both great opportunities -- and enormous challenges. This event asks, "How do we support the 'inner technologies' of mindfulness and wisdom in young people amidst an increasingly technology-saturated age?"
Speakers include Meng Tan (Jolly Good Fellow, Google); Daniel Siegel (UCLA psychiatrist); Susan Kaiser Greenland (Author of "The Mindful Child"); Eric Schiermeyer (Co-founder of Zynga, creator of CityVille and FarmVille); Michelle Gale (Learning and Development, Twitter); and many others. Randy Taran will be leading an interactive breakout session in the afternoon that will allow you to come away with effective practices, grounded in Social and Emotional Learning, to make a difference in the classroom or at home.
