AWARDS, FESTIVALS AND MORE!
 | | Project Happiness at the Historic Oriental Theater |
The last month has been truly amazing here at Project Happiness. The film has been accepted at multiple film festivals both in the U.S. and abroad and we just won our first award for Feature Documentary! The film really seems to be resonating with people and for this I am so grateful. I have just returned from a whirlwind trip to through the western U.S. - screening of the film in Denver, Durango and Santa Fe as well as a truly amazing time at a trade show in Denver. After a short break for the holiday, I am gearing up for another round of screenings on the east coast. You would think that I would be exhausted but it is really true - happiness is a movement and the momentum I see from all of you keeps me so energized! This next round of screenings is truly exciting and it is just the tip of the iceberg. Be sure to keep checking the Project Happiness site for everything we have coming up in the next few months!
With love and gratitude,
Randy

Excelsior Youth Center Joins Project Happiness for Denver Event!
 | | Gericho from Excelsior Youth Center |
In Denver, Colorado last month, Project Happiness was honored to meet the newest addition to our Happiness Coalition, Excelsior Youth Center. EYC is a residential treatment program established in 1973 that serves girls between the ages of 11 and 18 with emotional and behavioral difficulties. They are committed to the treatment and education of these young women and strive to enhance their successful reintegration into their families and communities.
Project Happiness partnered with EYC to have a special screening of the Project Happiness film at Denver's historic Oriental Theater - an event that served as a benefit for EYC and raised awareness of both organizations. As an added bonus, several of the girls from the program were on hand to watch the film. One of EYC's success stories, Gericho, joined Randy Taran on the panel to discuss the great work the two organizations are doing.
In addition to the money raised from the evening's screening, Project Happiness donated books and curriculum to Excelsior Youth Center. For more information on this amazing organization, please visit www.excelsioryc.org. If you know of an organization that you think would make a good coalition partner with Project Happiness, please contact Kavita at kavita@projecthappiness.com to discuss how our organizations could work together.
