An Antidite for Tsunami Sadness

In this wake of the Tsunami, I am struck by the sheer power of nature and the impermanence of everything we hold sacred. How can we stay happy during times of extreme crisis or tragedy? It's natural to get overwhelmed by things we cannot control, especially in situations of this... (read entire article)

radiant heart

Spring - what does it mean to you? Spring can be a coiled energy - just ready to spring forth. It also suggests a spring of fresh water, or a spring of creativity flowing into expression. Spring also signifies the season of new growth with first sprouts breaking ground.

Even if Spring seems far away with the weather too cold and rainy to even contemplate the sunny days ahead, there is SO much stirring under the earth. It's similar for people. Though there may be turbulence on the surface, deep inside the stirrings of dormant passions, soul essence and creativity are all gaining momentum. Listen in the silence for what lies within. Your strength and goodness are there waiting to be claimed, waiting to spring forth.

What makes you unique and what comes easily to you? Identify your strengths and build on them. Make a choice to express them more in your daily life. Whether your gift is a sense of humor, a caring personality or an appreciation of nature, expressing your strengths will raise your happiness and bring joy to those around you. This is your season - what kind of happiness will you grow?

An Invitation to be part of the Foundation Group for our New Adult Coaching Program!

Project Happiness is very excited to announce that we will soon be launching a coaching and certification program for parents, grandparents, therapists and other adults interested in becoming a leader in the exciting, emerging field of social and emotional learning (SEL).  This emerging field of education is being called the "missing piece" in education today, and it is directly linked to greater academic success, and a more meaningful life.

We will help people learn how to teach social and emotional life skills through after-school programs at their local schools, community centers and faith groups.  The idea is to empower our community to give these skills to our youth, without relying upon and waiting for overburdened school systems to teach these vital character building skills. Every kid deserves the SEL advantage.

In the effort to make our coaching program the best it can be, we need a select few participants to help us refine it and make it more user friendly.  In exchange for your participation and feedback, we will waive all fees and tuition for your training.

Are you motivated to help change the face of education?  Do you want to lead afterschool programs that emphasize skills which help people make friends, resolve conflicts, define their values and build character?  Email Kavita at Kavita@projecthappiness.com and we will be in touch!
