Greetings!

We hope everyone is enjoying the Summer!

We have been fortunate and blessed with being able to take family vacations ourselves!

John has taken his family on a camping trip to Maryland in June (yes, the rumor is true... John and Kim plus 10!) and a guys fishing trip to Eagle Lake in Canada in July.

Ellie took a trip to Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont in July to visit her family and the beach, Tracy took a trip to visit her sister in Maryland and New Jersey, Lynda has been to several concerts to see Black Stone Cherry, and Donna spent a week in Nashville for her grandson's final baseball tournament.

Me?  I spent 2 fantastic weeks in Destin, FL with my family of 6 and an extended family of 28.

'Prosthetics for Therapists'

It's official!

Due to the overwhelming response and success of the 'Prosthetics for Therapists' continuing education series, we are only able to offer 2 new courses for the remaining calendar year instead of 4.

But don't worry!

The material that we will not be covering in 2009 will be incorporated into our 2010 continuing education plans.

So, most of you have been through the first 4 courses.  We are offering 'Transtibial Gait Training and Deviations' and 'Transfemoral Gait Training and Deviations' starting in mid-September through the end of 2009.

So if you need to schedule the last 2 courses for 2009, call us ASAP!

Also, if you have missed any of the 1st 4 courses, feel free to find a course at another location and contact us so we can make the arrangements with the host group.

1. Transtibial Prosthetics - Immediate Post-Op Modalities
2. Transtibial Prosthetics
3. Transfemoral Prosthetics
4. Amputee Mobility Predictor
5. Transtibial Gait Training and Deviations
6. Transfemoral Gait Training and Deviations
Partial Foot/Symes Prosthetics (2010)
Upper Extremity Prosthetics (2010)
Dr. Douglas Longenecker First to Receive the New Rheo Knee in OHIO!

Rheo IIThe redesigned RHEO KNEE features a host of upgrades, including improved aesthetics, a higher weight limit, increased torque and faster swing speed.  A truly dynamic knee, RHEO KNEE uses Artificial Intelligence to continuously adapt to the user's walking style and environment.

The RHEO KNEE recognizes and responds immediately to changes in speed, load and terrain, restoring the user's ability to walk naturally, comfortably and confidently at any speed.

Patient indications include 'community and workplace ambulators with the ability or potential for cadence variation and ramp/stair descent' with 'low to moderate impact levels'.

Rheo II sideDr. Longenecker volunteered to 'beta test' the new RHEO KNEE starting in May 2009.  The beta testing was limited to 24 new RHEO knees throughout the world for a 3-month period.

The new RHEO knees are now available to all prosthetic practices!
