Have fun outdoors with horses while learning communication skills from the couples' theory of John Gottman, taught and illustrated through equine activities.
This skill-building workshop is designed for use with veteran and military couples. It is being offered on April 28 as an experiential workshop for professionals working with couples and veterans, including (but not limited to): therapists, clergy, VA and Vet Center staff, social workers, medical staff, graduate students, and anyone who wants to experience and participate in an equine facilitated couples' communication workshop.
Participants may attend as a couple and do the exercises together. Participants may also attend as an individual, and individual attendees will be assigned a "partner for the day" to do the skill building exercises with. This workshop is not couples' therapy. It is a workshop to teach the skills that make for happy and successful couples.
This workshop offers 5 CEU's for LMFT's and LCSW's from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (PCE #4267).
$50 per couple
$30 per individual
Lunch is included.
Pre-registration is required. Registration deadline is Wednesday, April 25.
